Our Dylan looks an interesting option in the 16:45 at Taunton. He’s been a fairly consistent performer this season and did well to get his head in front at Wincanton earlier in the campaign. He’s effective at this sort of trip and arrives here in decent form, with conditions again likely to suit. If able to race a bit more prominently, he looks capable of getting involved at the business end.

Staffordshire Knot has plenty in his favour today here at Leopardstown. This race has been a good one for the yard in the past, and he arrives in decent form. He showed strong staying qualities when winning a handicap hurdle at Punchestown three runs back and confirmed that stamina again when narrowly denied at Galmoy last time. He stays 2½m to 3m well, handles cut in the ground, and looks to be progressing as a stayer. Back in a handicap, he appears fairly treated, and this looks a reasonable opportunity if the race doesn’t come too soon after his last run.
