So a year off for this old campaigner, but as a 12-year-old you wouldn't even see him back, I feel, if he wasn't going well. The trainer owns him??"presumably a work horse??"so you can expect him to be fit enough. He was rated much higher and, with a 7 lb claim, really does look very nicely treated if the engine's still there.

Fav has had enough racing for the time being and I believe he's probably found him mark . Corduroy on the other hand is totally unexposed and if the gelding op has worked , could be about to prove how well treated he is , certainly has the pedigree to be much better then a 62 rating

Signs of a revival from the stable after a very poor season, and hopefully it'll transfer to this horse. Has a nice racing weight, well enough treated, and this looks like a long-term target ??" something the stable have a knack for getting right.

The return to this track is the key here. He's run to a level to win this in his last three course-and-distance runs. Eased a bit in the weights, but he's still relatively unexposed compared to most and should develop into a decent 5-year-old sprinter. Possibly one for the big sprint handicaps this season.

A cert if he fires tonight off this mark, and I'm fully expecting him to start shorter. Best-bred horse who has an impressive CC win to his name and could still be very progressive. Given time after struggling at Southwell, in what was a better race anyway, and here with an extra 7 lb claim he's weighted to win comfortably.

He'll be suited by this heavy ground, the same as when winning back in February. He wasn't beaten too far in handicap company last time, but with 7 lbs off he will be much better treated and certainly suited by the extra distance.

Hasn't been around here in a while, but has gone well here. I think it'll give this free-running type more opportunity to settle better. Certainly well treated, especially given the 7 lb claim. If he can challenge late and wide, I can see him springing a surprise here.

I think he's better than that last race effort where he missed the break and didn't get into it. Up in trip and down again in the weights, and although he may struggle to beat the fav, he certainly looks solid each-way value.

Just a two-horse race, but I do think he could be much the best. He travelled like a dream last time when making all. He was very well backed, suggesting he's held in high regard, and I'm sure there's plenty to come.

After a year and a half off the track they will not want to waste much time, and she'll be fit enough. She showed promise at 2yo and could easily have strengthened into a nice sprint type. Older horses can give away that allowance early on in the year.
