The yard has horses running well, and as he has been bought out again so quickly, it's unlikely there are any serious issues. He is the sort that could win well today or end up PU. 11/1 on offer makes the win bet worth a go (rather than EW) with so much in his favour condition-wise.

Lagonda won here last Feb on soft, drying ground over 3m off just 2 lb lower than today's mark. The lightly raced 11yo enjoyed the track and shaped that day as if further would suit. She followed that with two more good runs, finishing 2nd on both occasions: once on soft that was verging on heavy, and then on good. She has had two runs since returning to action in November; the latest start was 67 days ago. There were plenty of signs of a return to form. With the stable now firing after a long spell in the doldrums, she has the drying ground again and a longer trip. Very capable of at least making the frame in this.

Bright Legend looks sure to run better than last time, when on bottomless ground here over 2m four weeks ago. The longer trip today and better ground can bring out the best in the 6yo. His run three starts ago at Fontwell showed how much ability he has, and a reproduction of that effort here, off a whopping 12 lb lower mark, should see him bang there come the business end of the race today.

El Jefe has proved he acts on soft and heavy ground in his last few starts and has run well over CD in his last two runs here. He was behind Diamond Geezer and Eloi du Puy here on the penultimate start, and the race was run at a slow pace. He travelled strongly but did not cope with the sprint finish. With Lights Go Down likely to set a faster tempo this time (and is a danger), it will help El Jefe, along with the weight he gets, in reversing the form with those two rivals, and the rider gets his 3 lb claim today. 18/1 offers some fair each-way value.

Minella Kaiser has shown his well-being after returning from a near 300-day layoff with two thirds and a second last time. The two most recent starts were over fences, and he would have learned plenty from the experience. He put in a couple of awkward jumps in both those runs and should now show the hurdles he is returning to a bit more respect. Proven to handle the ground, course, and trip well on his latest showing, the lightly raced 7-year-old is capable enough to win a hurdle race before going back to fences. This looks like an opportunity to do so. With very few live dangers in the field, 3/1 or better offers value for the win.

A good winning opportunity, and anything above 7/2 offers some value.

On The Go won over CD in November by 10l, and the ground, officially good, had been well softened by the rain at the off, giving confidence he will act on this surface today. His run last time was over 3m after more than two months off, and he should appreciate the drop back in trip today along with the return to a sharper track. He appears better suited by today's race conditions than any rivals and offers some value for the win at 5/1 or bigger.

He had PU on the previous four starts before getting blinkers back on and running his best race for over a year last time over 3m on good to soft ground. He is well handicapped now, and with the yard coming to life and getting plenty of winners, he looks sure to go well after his first completed start for over a year. Any rain will help his chance. If back to anywhere near his best form, he is capable of winning this well.

The Expensive One has run twice at Cheltenham since winning at Stratford. He was going as well as anything when, in one race, the saddle slipped 3 out and he was pulled up. In the latest, which was almost run in darkness, he stumbled at 3 out again and any chance had gone. They were Class 3 races. He won a bumper on soft, so there should be no problems with the ground here. The way he won at Stratford suggests this longer trip will suit. He has won and been second when returning from breaks previously.

Canunclecani, has run well here over hurdles, finishing 2nd in 2 from 3 on soft ground. He seems to prefer going right-handed. The horses he was second behind are now rated 130 and 120. He is an ex point-to-point horse and looks the type to take to chasing well. With ground ideal for him here, he appears well placed by connections at this intermediate trip for his chase debut. He has shown enough ability to win a race like this, and if he takes to fences as expected he looks good EW value at 12/1.

Looking For Larry won easily over 2m5f soft at RH Exeter in January last year. He then went chasing but all went wrong at the start when he whipped round and lost many lengths. He had one more start and never got into it, before having a 316-day layoff. He came back a month ago with a very solid effort in a Class 4 at Exeter over almost 3m. His last win was also his second run from a break, and he can come on for that latest start. Murray Dodd gets 3 lb, and the 8yo looks capable of challenging both the principals in this if he's fully shaken off his quirks. 11/1 with Bet365 offers some each-way value, and many bookies are offering a 3-place payout in this.

Face d'Music showed he could handle slow ground when third over an inadequate trip of 2m at Ffos Las a fortnight ago. He came from a long way back and was nearest at the finish. His run before that was over today's trip at Market Rasen on good to soft when he again came from well back to take third; both were Class 4 handicaps. He's dropped in class today and ran third at this course early in his career. The long galloping run-in will give him a chance to get full momentum. The rider will know him better after the last two starts and should know when to get him going this time. 16/1 offers some each-way value.

He's a winner on heavy ground and has made the first three at this track in 2 from 3 runs. He had Edgewell behind him when second on his penultimate start; the same horse was behind Bataillon when he won here last time. At today's weights, if bouncing back to form and down in grade, Gingerbred can finish in front of Bataillon today, and that should be enough. The 28/1 available is worth taking the gamble that the 8yo runs to his best today after his last run.

He's only 5yo and looks the type to improve further. He can handle a sharp track and acts well going right-handed, and a repeat of his latest start should be enough to win again.

Jack Doyen: CD winner on soft and has run well elsewhere on heavy. He also had good form in his point-to-points on similar ground. This is the 8-year-old's ideal trip. He goes into this today after falling on his penultimate start, which was after a 329-day layoff, and then finished 6th over CD on good to soft when last seen two months ago. That race saw him travel and jump well for a long way until tiring and making a mistake late on; his rider was not hard on him afterwards. He has been consistently better in the past and would have benefited from that outing. Returned here with the ground as he likes it more, he will be asked, and if he's fully ready he is good enough to win.

His latest, 19 days ago, was his best effort over the course when 6.5 lengths behind Bathgate, and it appeared as if there was more to offer. He is 6 lb better off with that rival today, and the 10-year-old has slipped to a workable mark. He has won on heavy ground before, and reversing the form with Bathgate in this could prove enough.
