Precious Man is a smart 4-year-old prospect from the Skeltons who finished 2nd on his British debut after winning in France. He finished 2nd behind the second favorite One Horse Town at Cheltenham, where he was 3 lengths behind. He was gaining ground coming into the last, but a mistake cost him ground, which proved to be the difference. He then went on to run over C&D, where he won very well without being asked for a lot. He travelled brilliantly and won very well. With his recent success over C&D, I think he will have improved massively and reverse the latest meeting between the top two.

This 7-year-old, trained by Ben Pauling, sets a very good standard for this weaker race. He won his bumper back in March very well and finished 2nd, a half-length behind a solid Skelton horse. He then ran a great race LTO, finishing 3rd to a very good upcoming prospect that is entered in a Grade 2 today at Kempton. Looks the one to beat in this weaker race.

Shafdar is a 4-year-old trained by Ian Williams and ridden by Edward Greatrex. He ran a very encouraging race LTO, finishing 3rd behind two very well-regarded horses and was 4¾ lengths behind. He did come from the back of the field and was denied a clear run, covering significant ground in the late stages, which made me add him to my tracker. The Crisfords are 5/35 with debutant runners on AW, with only 1/19 of their colts/geldings winning. From stall 1, I think he has everything in his favour to win this race.

Seeing Stars is a 2-year-old who has finished 2nd on all three starts. The form was boosted by his close 2nd at Wolverhampton two starts ago, where the winner, Chantelle, won again with ease. His most recent run was a 2nd; he was 2 lengths behind the winner but clear of 3rd by 8 lengths. It looks like he can go one better tonight for William Knight under Luke Morris.

Spring Is Here is a 3-year-old trained by Joseph O'Brien who makes his AW debut in a maiden at an OR of 88. He finished 2 lengths behind two-time Class 1 winner Lady Iman and not far behind True Love, who has also won some big races. Very interesting.

Princess Keri is a 6-year-old trained by Evan Williams who ran a great race LTO. She was 10+ lengths clear and continuing to run on before unseating the rider at the last. If she can finish the race, she should be very tough to beat with the in-form Ben Jones on board.
