This horse won over course and distance in December under the same apprentice who rides here, and off the same mark. Upped slightly in class since then but has run with credit in three out of four of those races. Drops back into a C6 and has claims on best form. Decent each-way chance.

A very difficult race to assess. Many have claims, and there are more obvious choices than DMR. However, he's more than capable in C2 races on the all-weather from his current mark. Yes, he was behind a couple of these on his comeback run, but if stepping forward from that, with the jockey taking off a useful 5 lb, he could be in the mix here. He's the value bet in this race for me, but I'd suggest looking for firms paying four places each way.

I do like these veteran events, and in this one If Not For Dylan has a decent chance. The Russell & Scudamore yard are beginning to pick up. The horse is on a good mark, and a good claimer takes extra weight off. INFD hasn't won for over a year but has run with credit several times since then. He might be difficult to peg back if he gets into a good rhythm. Each-way chance at value odds.

This horse is a five-time course and distance winner. Back down to a fair mark, but if you factor in the 7 lb claim of a good apprentice, there's every chance this horse will be in the shake-up. Good chance with cheekpieces back on.
